The practical questions, answered

Everything an event planner asks before booking - so your only surprise is the magic.

◊Are you insured?

Yes - full liability coverage up to $1M, and a certificate of insurance goes to your venue the same day you ask for it. Hotels, country clubs, and studio lots have all been happily satisfied.

◊How does strolling magic actually work at an event?

I move through your event performing short sets - five to eight minutes - for small groups, right in their hands. It fits naturally into cocktail hours, receptions, and the lull between dinner courses. A ninety-minute booking comfortably reaches 75-100 guests, and nobody has to stop what they’re doing to watch. The magic comes to them.

◊What do you need from us?

Guests. That’s the whole list. No stage, no sound system, no rehearsal, no green room. I arrive at least twenty minutes early, dressed for your room, and start on your schedule - and if dinner runs fifteen minutes late, the magic waits politely.

◊What size events do you perform for?

From a dinner party of ten to corporate events of several hundred. Strolling magic scales with the crowd; for groups up to about sixty, I can also present a parlor-style show - everyone seated, one impossible thing after another.

◊How far in advance should we book?

Weekends typically book four to eight weeks out, and November-December goes earlier every year. If your date is sooner than that, ask anyway - calendars have gaps, and I’ll tell you straight either way.

◊Can we see you perform before booking?

Please do. I’m the resident magician at MainRo, Hollywood’s Vegas-style supper club, and a regular performer at the Magic Castle. Come watch a full evening of work before you decide - few entertainers can offer that, and it’s the best sales pitch I have.

◊Do you travel?

Based in Los Angeles and regularly performing across Southern California - Santa Barbara to San Diego - with travel nationwide for the right occasion. Travel beyond LA County is quoted simply and up front.
